About
To all those who, at their core, value self-ownership and having a legitimate say in your government,
To all republicans, democrats, libertarians, socialists and everyone in between,
To all proud Texans and those aspiring to be someday,
This message is for you.
YOU ARE GETTING SCREWED. YOU’VE BEEN HOODWINKED. YOU’VE BEEN LIED TO AND SWINDLED.
How does it feel? How does it feel to know every day your current form of government, namely the general government out of D.C., couldn’t care less about you and the ones you support take for granted that you’ll always dutifully support them no matter what they do.
They think you’re an idiot. Why? Because in the end they know it doesn’t matter how you vote they’ll always get their way while all the while you think you’re “making a difference” by pulling that lever….
The CAUSE is this: it is high time, long past high time in fact, for the people of Texas to take back control over their own lives. What do I mean by that?
This is emphatically NOT a partisan message.
No, in fact I see no reason why this message would not be embraced by every republican, democrat, conservative, liberal, socialist or libertarian alike.
At this critical point in history it should be the desire of ALL Texans to no longer take orders on how to live our lives from the northeast or the west coast.
That no longer makes sense. And you know what, neither should they take orders from us on how to live theirs.
What we have now in the United States is a collection of areas and cultures that because of their differences are creating great struggle, hatred and strife where once peaceful co-existence used to exist.
This country as it is constituted right now unfortunately is no longer tenable in its current form. The divisions between groups and cultures is simply too great for a small number of representatives in D.C., to effectively and righteously govern a country of almost 350 million people.
That’s 536 folks to represent 350 MILLION people. Think about that for a second. How could that possible work? Hint; it doesn’t.
That doesn’t work. That will NEVER work.
Why do we continue to stay involved in a system where so few people, people none of us common folk have any influence with or over, have so much power over us?
We do not have any say in our system anymore. You can’t have any say when your vote is only 1 out of roughly 750K for our representative or 1 in 35 million for a senator.
With numbers like that how can any of you say your vote matters? I’m here to tell you that doesn’t matter to The Swamp in Mordor (Washington, D.C.)
If you agree that a democracy, or representative republic, as we have on the surface now is the best form of government, then you must agree that giving all people a much greater say in what happens is always a better solution.
That means a MUCH smaller central government.
How to achieve this? Through a peaceful and friendly separation from our sister states. Plain and simple.
To Austin, and Austin alone, can your voice become exponentially more important. But when was the last time you cared about who you send to Austin as your representative? My guess is it has been a very long time if ever at all.
I’m not going to lie, I’m embarrassed to admit that I didn’t even know who my State Rep or State Senator were when I came to this conclusion.
I’m here to tell you though that NOW is the time to know who these people are and to hold them accountable to you and make them support giving you back your say in our democracy.
Now is the time to make the decision of who you send to Austin to represent you THE most important decision you can make. It’s time to make that decision the highest decision you can make.
And most importantly it’s time to tell them “give me back my rights and my say over my own life. Leaving the swamp!”
It is time to demand a peaceful and friendly separation from Mordor, D.C.
We go our own way, you go yours. Let bygones be bygones. We’ll still be friends, we just won’t tell each other what to do any longer.
Now to all my republican, democrat, conservative, liberal, socialist, libertarian, et al, friends, your voice and your vote would then matter more than ever before as we can now have our fights over our future in Austin alone instead of in both Mordor and Austin.
In Austin alone you would have much less convincing to do to move a majority of Texans to your cause. Much less than you had before when trying to convince a majority in 49 other states as well.
It’s time to mind our own house and be a great example to all our other state friends.
I don’t know what direction we’d go after a peacefully and friendly separation from our fellow states but I do know this….I know that We The People of Texas will have significantly more power and say over our government than ever before.
That, my friends, is the main benefit of this separation. Let’s take our future back into our own hands.
It may be hard to accept but your voice no longer matters and you have no power or say over what is done in Washington, or more accurately, Mordor, D.C.
It’s long past time to take back ownership and control over your own life and make sure your voice is heard.
At this point a peaceful and friendly separation from Mordor, D.C., is the only way to make that happen.
This is why I implore you to support the movement and Leave The Swamp.
Live and let live,
